slimrs Posted November 15, 2008 Author Report Posted November 15, 2008 thanks peeps ill count up some pennies then i have the 7'' rs replicas from midland on my mk1 escort and they fit very well.my cars is quite low so the arches have been rolled a tiny bit but i have loads of room and can even take people in the back with out it rubbing.you dont get this kind of room with superlights. mk1rob Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Ive also got the 7x13s from midland wheels with 175/50 tyres. No probs at all with rubbing and i dont have rolled arches. Rsdaz: do you have any probs on the front with exhaust/sump scraping being that low? Mine looks about the same as ive recently lowered it but it scrapes even goin into the garage (about a 2" step). When i put it on a ramp i noticed some grooves in the sump I think im goin to raise it again and put 185/60 tyres on. Does any one have any pics of these on the 7" 4 spokes? Cheers

rsdaz Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 it does catch the exhaust at the front sometimes but only over big speed bumps so i dont want to change to a higher profile as i dont think it looks as good.never had a problem with the sump scraping its quite a bit higher than the exhaust.what sump have you got cos i think the standard pinto sump is deeper than the rs2000 one.
mk1rob Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 oh right i didnt know that. Im guessin ill have a standard pinto sump then. I agree that the 175/50s look better than 185/60s but i hate it when it catches so i think ill go for the bigger profile and swing towards the rally car theme. Your car looks stunnin btw
