surfingturnip Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 does anyone know what they'll fit like on a cortina? I know they have a 4x108 pcd so they will actually go onto the hubs, was just wondering as to how to correct the possible fwd offset and such?
evil knievel Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 you know too much about wheels but apart from saying that i cant really help you
surfingturnip Posted November 19, 2008 Author Report Posted November 19, 2008 not the first time I've heard that I seem to be turning into a right wheel whore now
you'll get 10s on that Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Hi Whilst some audis are 4x108 the wheels won't go straight on to the hubs as the centrebore on the audi wheels will be 57.1 and you ford will require 63.4mm. An easy mod for a machine shop or wheel refurbisher. All audi wheels are designed for FWD and therefore ET35 or there abouts so you will need in the region of 3/4" (19mm) spacers to fit them. Finally the wheel seatings for the original bolts may well be designed for radius seating so you need to modify thtose for either the typical Ford 60 degree taper or find some radius seated nuts in 12x1.5 (Audi will be 14mm) Would suggest that you may be able to use Honda wheelnuts......................................good luck but not straight forward
Rick Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 my grandads got pelvins style westfiedl wheels on his audi. dunno if they work tother way round
