Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 have you got any pics of the carb
dyt397c Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 in my opinion, the 40dfi 5 is the best carb for a tuned v6.(other than triple webers of course!!) i`m pretty sure these were used on the circuit racing capri`s. i changed from a holley 390 to 1 of these and the difference was phenominal!! (and used a K&N filter).
garyv6100e Posted November 19, 2008 Author Report Posted November 19, 2008 thanks for that , wish i could fit triples on it but as its in a 100e i don't have the room
Toby Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 thanks for that , wish i could fit triples on it but as its in a 100e i don't have the room Just pop them in the boot - this way you can tell everyone you have them and the MPG will still be acceptable No charge.
danny69 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 This is what I have read several times from different sources, "For the Capri, they homologated the Weber 40 DF15, quite good for racing but no good on the road, as they don't have a power value and give a very rich partial throttle running - washing your bores out quickly" I have copied and pasted the above from Essexengines.com.
garyv6100e Posted November 20, 2008 Author Report Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks for the info guys And Toby behave yourself
