Sailor Jerry Rum

anyone tried this? its the single nicest spirit I have ever tried. Rum mixed with vanilla and lime. £20 a bottle so its expensive, but its so bloody nice I just bought 2 bottles

I'd never heard of it, unitl I bought a sailor jerry t shirt that I liked cos of my love of tattoos. Then on holiday in the lakes I seen the rum in a specialist drinks shop, thought I'd try a bottle and got instantly hooked on it

Bit of a contradiction in terms though isn't it? Much like the Scots drink whisky neat, so too do sailors believe that rum should be drunk neat and that diluting it into Grog like they used to back in the old days was sacrilege.

Scott sailor jerrys neat is really nice, its a spiced rum which is done with vanilla lime and spices for a different flavour, although with coke isnt bad
