mk3cokebottle Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 www.budgetinsurance.com , its like a insurance broker but they do insurance for 12 top company's at the moment im insured with axa through them , i get windscreen cover , free breakdown , free courtesy car the lot
bortaf Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 But does that cover you for hire and reward (IE carrying other peoples cars) or own use only (IE cars that are in your name) i had a few cheap quotes but they only coverd me for my own cars I ended up with a £765 TPFT trade policy where i can carry other peoples cars (hire and reward) for my own cars only it was £235, big differance and i'm coverd for carrying scrap cars which the cheap policy wouldn't cover me for either
mk3cokebottle Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 basically his traders insurance covers him to carry for hire and reward i only got insured so i could keep my insurance and use it for racing when he takes the hiab and when i wanna run a scrapper in every so often from the yard
Mr.Sumo Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 I must have trodden in something Chris , i"m 42 and they wanted £367 TPFT for my Transit , and i only use it for work and back ! Thats £160 dearer than what i pay now
mk3cokebottle Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 yeh but does yours have certificates for a clifford alarm and immobiliser and is it kept in a private compound with cctv and alarmed gates but that ofcourse is on me mates drive on park barn estate guildford surrey then ofcourse theres always the risk of you performing very dangerous stunts on a three lane motorway aswell , you have probably been put on there dont touch with a bargepole list of clients ........ ok ok im sorry i will get ya a pie next time i see ya love ya really mwah
bortaf Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Just got a quote, kept in a locked compound, scorpion alarm/imm, 6000 miles a year and they wanted £664 without hire and reward, must be my post code Is he with this lot as well cos i havn't found a traders policy yet that comes with hire and reward included in the standard policy all the ones i've tried over the last ten years have wanted extra (shoot load extra) to include it. Could do with a nod in the right direction Mind i use me NCD on a car policy which don't help i guess
