Just read the first part of Ben M’s turbo’d x-flow feature. Now I am not a fan of turbos but this is a brilliant feature. Just the kind of article I love in a car mag, going down a less trodden path, (and on a budget) can’t wait to see what the outcome is. Keep it up it is great to see something a little different.

like the idea of this, was there not a 1.3 turbo on the bay not that long ago

 

ive been conjuring up ides of a 1.1turbo fiesta for a while.........but shhhhhhh :lol:

Just got the mag and as good if not better than ever !!

 

What car is the turbo x-flow going in, your Anglia :?:

 

No designated test car as yet, the first challenge is to get the thing running... :shock:

 

which reminds me....

 

I need an early "chambered" cylinder head for a crossflow :oops: HELP ME PLEASE :lol:

IIRC The Zakspeed turbo capri used a turbo on a production kent crossflow block to get 500bhp (perhaps it was more?) in the 1700cc and also silly power out of the 1400 too. The head was a specially made twin cam job I think.

Reakon i'll find one for less than a grand on ebay??? I could always take a file and a hacksaw to a cosworth head or something :lol:
