Jonboy Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Hi everyone, I bought my 2 door MK2 Escort last July as a 1300 popular auto, the shell was mint, came out an old guys garage where he parked it up in 1993, its a 1980 model and was a mobility car from new. Since I have changed it into a Mexico replica, it now has a 1600 xflow with stage 2 head, twin 40's, type 9 5 speed box, rs 4 spokes, front bucket seats, all new brakes, gas adjustable shocks all round, front and rear mexico spoilers, full decals kit, 4-1 manifold and 2" twin box exhaust system, quickshift kit, 205/60/13 tyres, all new bushes, tca's, bearings, and much more, I had it MOT'd in October and she passed with flying colours, never seen a welding torch and doesn't need to as was dry stored from new. Still more fettling to do with interior (just bought RS 3 spoke steering wheel) and will have the paintwork blown over in the next 12 months, underneath is as solid as a new car. I will post pics when i find out how.......
