mk1estate Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 the wheels look like wolfrace to me, although there were a few simular ones about. love em though
gmrvic Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Wheels could be italian BWA wheels. Seen those on old fiats and alfas.
radjay mk1 Posted January 22, 2009 Author Report Posted January 22, 2009 the shell has never been welded or need welding! plans will be a 2l pinto with rs sump which i have,5 link rear, rs box & bellhousing, spax inserts, worldcup xmember, lsd, stripped interior with ally panels and i have made my own dash. was going 2 keep original colour but not 2 sure what colour if i do change it as not many colours look good with the rectangle lights. hope to get a lot more time this year to get lots of work done. thanks 4 the comments. here are some more pics
tom28 Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 looks nice mate, id ditch the lights and get some round headlights, i like mk1's in white or daytona yellow good luck with it mate
radjay mk1 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 was thinking about round lights but do not want to fit new front panel as the shell is superb condition. was thinking of making a plate to fit to the front panel to take round lights.

capriaddict Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 hi shane i will be selling the wheels as i dont like them!i think they maybe wolfrace, but as i have never seen them b4 so i dont know. does anyone out there know? Thats a nice mint shell you got a great start for your project i'd keep it the colour it allready is, Tawny bronze i think its called. The wheels were made by a company called Midland Metalics back in the early seventies, they then changed there name to Wolfrace and changed the design to the classic slot mag we all know so well
Mickey Stewart Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 nice car dude , looks very solid
Blakey Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Mate leave it tawney brown and keep the square lights!! Not that i'm biased [/img]
Tuomas Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Very solid bodywork. My Escort was same colour 13 years ago when i bought it. Your project brings back good memories..
radjay mk1 Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 i have decided to keep the colour & the lights i want it to look fairly standard on the outside, a have a set of rs wheels and a set of minilites but was toying with the idea of the wide steels when i first got the car. i will be moving the the car to projects & restorations like i should have in the first place. now i have a new camera i will take some more pics at the weekend. cheers for the comments
