This is great show, i went last year. Just wish i'd paid for a slot to show the car cos that would've only cost me 7quid as opposed to the 18 it'll be for me the wife and the 1yr old to get in as visitors!! So with that in mind I think I'm going to try and get to Rownhams to check out the convoy in the morning as I'm only up the road!

First as in also the car I learned to drive in back when I was 16/17 yrs old. Owned her ever since! Fancy a Capri now as well, I wonder if the missus would mind...!!

That is stunning! Classic paintjob and the wheels do look amazing. By the way, if you lower it or leave it as is, it'll look brilliant either way.

Some interior shots as promised... managed to get the manky speaker holes finally covered up, and got my new kick panels from aldridge trimming today so they'll be going in next. Also hope to get a glove box in there and a centre console from either a mk1 or 2. Anyone got some pics of a mk 2 console in a mk1 ??? Cheers

Thanks for the comments guy's. I'm not going to lose the rear handles, I've personlised her enough with the wheels, lowering and the quarter bumpers, I'm proud of her as a four door 1300XL! Stuartp, I'll put some pics of the interior on soon, I'm lucky because mine was in really good nick when I got her, the only bad thing is that the door cards have speaker holes in them, but I aim to cover these up this weekend in fact. Snap! Well almost, yours has got a couple less doors than mine has! What's the interior like, tan seats with tan door cards? Any centre console extra's etc? You certainly did get a bargain

I love this car! Personally I think the spoiler works, and if it were mine def' put it on. I'd also lose the mudflaps and the mirrors. I know the mirrors are original but I can't help feel they detract from the slick lines of the body, but hey, what do I know!!
