That's about as long as i've had my mini. Bless her. I sold her to my friend tom for £30, took his money and then told him the deal was off. He was paid back his money. It was just that I sat in her and didnt want to let her go.

I found a pic yesterday of me from 1993 sat on the bonnet of my Mini that I rebuilt from an accident damaged shell I bought for £60. I loved that car. Replaced the front floors and sills, repaired the A posts, fitted a new rear subframe. Ran it for a couple of years before I fitted a 1300, but that's when I started having the problems, so sold it. I think the new guy bought it for spares because it's not on the road anymore

god thats a bargain! or are we talking years back? all the 1's i had were that price, mini25 limited edition, 1 with a metro turbo, its passed on 2 my bro now he's obsessed with em, lol and if he cant go out in it everyday he goes nuts

i paid £50 for mine...it was a recovered stolen car....had all copper running gear in it...completly stripped.....it was ready for the scrapyard,scary towing it back has it had the engine just dumped in and i only had front brakes connected and had to double pump the brake to even get a pressure and with drum brakes......never again....
