Retro-gone. Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 all day ive been tryin to figure out where the high pitched squeaking noise was coming from on the capri, it sounded like a quieter version of the horiible fan belt slip.. i ruled out anything on the engine because it still did it freewheeling with engine turned off.. ive had all the brakes stripped, copperslipped backs of pads, done all the usual brake service stuff and reset the wheel bearings but to no avail.. so i jacked the back end up, slotted stands under and run the car in 2nd gear and found the cause.. does anyone want to have a stab before i tell you the cause?? maybe youve come across it yourselves..
BIG G Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Get on and bloody drive it stop worrying or turn the stereo up thats good for bad noises
