DAZZA Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I see a few cars on here with F1 style bike mirrors. Any legal, MOT issues?
mk1super Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I see a few cars on here with F1 style bike mirrors. Any legal, MOT issues? Dazza how about these? http://www.streetfightersinc.com/HesaOb ... erPair.jpg
mk1super Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Their the ones mate! TBH Dazza i couldnt see them being an issue come mot time. Iam no mot tester though lol
V8ian Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I dont think there is an issue with bike mirrors, Ive got one as an interior mirror, wide angle jobbie, really sorted out the blind spot I had, , Puddy runs Bike mirrors on his Mk2, and I dont think he has had a problem either,
over_head_cam Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 IIRC the book says mirrors must provide a clear view to the rear of the vehicle, or something like that. Would seem that it's not the actual size, just as long as you can see to th rear, not how much you can see
Copey Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 IIRC the book says mirrors must provide a clear view to the rear of the vehicle, or something like that. Would seem that it's not the actual size, just as long as you can see to th rear, not how much you can see if it was how much you could see bullit mirrors would be out too, lol bike mirrors are fine, can see no less in them than you can in the silly F1 style mirrors
over_head_cam Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Bullet mirrors are the worst in the world All I could see out of mine were trees and sky
lotusless Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Bullet mirrors are the worst in the world All I could see out of mine were trees and sky yeah but were you in a ditch at the time
72mk1escort Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Hey Dazza My Dad is a tester and he said it will pass the MOT with them on providing you can see out of them properly and that they are not broken or have any sharp edges etc.
Fiesta Steve Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Most oldskool Fords don't even need exterior mirrrors for MOT depending on age of vehicle
