bronze4door Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 just come across this on another forum http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123
FredTransit Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Also from another forum this belongs to someone i know. I got a call today from a mate who saw my Escort being towed down the street yesterday. He thought it was me so gave me a call. I've reported it to the Police and they are going to look at CCTV to try and trace the vehicle that towed it away. I had some welding done to it a little while ago getting it ready for it's MOT, so suspect the lad who did the welding has tipped others off as to it's location. Nothing else has been touched in the garage, but the door has been ripped from the top leaving the padlocks intact. Mk1 Escort 1100L two door Saphire Blue YVJ 548K. he's from northampton, keep an eye out in the midlands if you can. most likely taken for its shell, someone in the trade must know.
FredTransit Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Just got a call from a fellow enthusiast who spotted the car yesterday near junction 33 M6 (Forton Services) heading North. He didn't see my post until he got home or else he would have followed them. I've contacted the Police, but they are not in at the moment.. Looks like the car is headed North. Keep em peeled please folks. Also off another forum.
escortmad79 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Be very careful with this one!! I emailed the guy to tell him it's been posted on here, SOSE, my Bebo group & my Retards Club group (Not naming either of them). Next time I tried to sign into ebay, it wouldn't recognise my password!! Got in contact with ebay help & t turns out that a third party had hacked into my account to send unsolisted mail using my account!!
FredTransit Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Coincidence? I haven't heard of anything else like this in connection with the stolen escort. Has anybody else?

Smudger105e Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 from the HVCC Stolen MkI Escort, YVJ 548K The car was removed from garage P, Blandford Court, Corby over the weekend of 31 Jan/1 Feb. The vehicle was seen being removed by one of the neighbours who thought it was the owner. The car was next seen on Beanfield Avenue, Corby around lunchtime, 3 Feb, being towed on a four wheel car trailer by a black Peugeot 406 heading towards Cottingham Road. Someone spotted the car being towed north on the M6 near Jct33 between 11.00am and 12.00pm on 4 Feb. The car was on a trailer uncovered with the registration plates exposed. Surely it must have been spotted by the network of cameras on the M6 either at services or on the road itself? Any help greatly appreciated. The theft has been reported to Corby police. Crime number NB/28386/08. The car has been listed on eBay as stolen. Item number 330305630498 Contact Tony Webb Tel: 01536 503568 or 07751 425 516
Smudger Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Hey up Smudger... Any relation? Can we start a stolen username thread?
Smudger105e Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 Probably distantly related from about 1763, lots of us about you know! I have had your birthday wishes sent to me for the last 2 years You beat me to the nickname when I first registered, but I have certainly spammed far more then you! You have managed 2 posts a year!
Smudger105e Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 Now grudgingly changed my name again, but prefer my old one. Should I go back to Smudger. (with a full stop), Grampy Smudger, keep this one or something else, as it seems the Smudger who beat me to the name and has a post count of 8 in 4 years has made represenations that I have stolen his user name....
escortmad79 Posted Sunday at 05:55 Report Posted Sunday at 05:55 It was recovered in Northampton in September 2010
