antz Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Finally 3 weeks after I promised to fit another to the car and get some full pics...I did it! I think the front arches may need a grind back too as they used to slightly catch with my old wheels (they were a gay offset) but these oens stick out further. Seeing it with its new shoes on has re-kindled the fire to get it finished for summer! I think it looks the tits and its really gonna annoy the VW scene boys in my local area
mk1mexico Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Look bloody lovely mate, really couldnt have chosen a more suitable wheel for your motor i dont think Id love some myself but they wont clear my brakes

NeilT Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 money well spent antz they look the nuts!!!
Supercharged Nat Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 you need a small genny! you should be able to pick up a unit capable of running a grinder, power drill, spot lamp etc (not all at the same time though) I did once see a generator coupled to an arc welder (stick welder), as soon as you stuck up an arc it would rev its nuts off suppling the current for welding- actually worked rather well lol. those wheels should have come on there from the factory!
Deano1351 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Yep they are deffo the right wheels for your car, looks so cool like that
Muttley MK2 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Spot on! Subtle but soooooooooo nice
antz Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Posted February 9, 2009 you need a small genny! you should be able to pick up a unit capable of running a grinder, power drill, spot lamp etc (not all at the same time though) I did once see a generator coupled to an arc welder (stick welder), as soon as you stuck up an arc it would rev its nuts off suppling the current for welding- actually worked rather well lol. those wheels should have come on there from the factory! i might have to invest in a genny! thanks for the comments guys. im well impressed with them. plus they are the original wheels that came with the car from new. so 28 years on it still runs on its original wheels
