  1. coil breaking down?
  2. that would be handy it you wanted to 'blow through' the carb! just a shame the pinto dont sound like a V8..
  3. its sounding like its going to be a good turn out, looking forward to it boys!
  4. Smokey try your local factors or Rally design or maybe even burtons or mwr. You after just a standard replacement or uprated? - QH do std replacements, should be available from your local factors mate.
  5. that said man taught me most of the stuff i know about carbs too, he certainly knows his stuff, hes a good lad!
  6. looks spot on like that, the rims work!
  7. im using it too. do the job properly and itl see you right. very handy for forced induction.. the mapping isnt easy and you got to be comitted to it but theres lots of scope with it, especially the V4 board!
  8. more like 7psi tops! unless you fit a decompression plate, but thats also assuming the engine is in a good state and not knocking or on its last legs.
  9. woops! i do a bit of work with 3 phase and fook me it goes with a bang if you get it wrong! dont let it get you down, we all make mistakes. thats what insurance is for (well from a professional point of view anyway). live and learn buddy..
  10. no worries bud, just thought id mention it as the guy whos sorting mine out said to pass the word, so i did. hopefully itl be a good show, with good weather!
  11. I think im going to be with KLCC at this one (a kind of honoury member for the show). you guys would be welcome (would need to confirm though) to join the KLCC for the show too, or do as your suggesting and have an osf stand....
  12. Chin up mate! I know its hard ive been in a similar situation myself. I wanted to give up on everything, and i mean EVERYTHING. I think id be looking for another job, but maybe in a totally different line of work? try to talk to different people, get a round a bit, find out whats available. do you know anyone who does something you wont mind giving a go?- speak to them, mention you want a new job, maybe even try and get involved a little bit. I know its hard but you have to try not to let it bother you, if you do it will only get worse and like you already said youve gone back to bad ways due to it- do you really want to go there again? dont let your current situation prevent you from moving forward, your CV may only show qualifications for your current line of work, but nows the time to change it. apply those skills to new roles. If you wanna chat, just let me know. Nat.
  13. oooooh! is that supercharged? do you have a project thread or anything?
  14. agree with last comment. also the 15mm gap between plate and trumpet isnt going to be enough. 30mm is probably getting close to the limits too. id have thought the more space the better. also think about your inlet tubing/ piping. std flexy pipe has ridges which will upset air flow, the smoother the better! if your going to the effort of ram effect and all that, you need to think about smooth flexy pipe.
  15. air leak OR the secondary throttle butterfly isnt fully closing!
