Since only purchasing last week, I have stripped the gearbox and rear diff for re-conditioning , the engine is going to be removed so I can address the engine bay and get it welded and re-painted. I have lots of plans for the mex as below: Total respay inside and out in the monza blue colour, including any welding that needs doing Complete re-trimn of interior with some custom bits added. All the chrome bumpers, front grill & mirrors etc removed and re-chromed New window rubbers all round. Long term project which will be done in stages. Mickey

PS, I wouldn't think the rear bumper needs doing as it is a NOS one only taken out of the protective hessian about 5 months ago. That cost me 150 quid alone. The quarter bumpers are original tho. Mickey Stewart Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 hi johnny, Your blog has really helped me on the work that has been done on the car, I can only thank you for all the work you have done to get the car in the superb condition it is in now, I have taken the mex of the road for now whilst I get a few mechanical works done, gearbox and rear diff being re-conditioned at the moment, going to remove the engine to get the bay welded back up and painted, got a lot plans but going to take my time and fingers crossed be ready for end of summer, if not spring next year, going to enjoy my cabrio this year!!!
