Mine was in 1994 and i still have to go for treatment once a month by a chiropractor it bloody hurts although my job doesn't help it.

I didn't claim although had the chance to, if i had the chance now i would and £3200 would not be enough, it's cost me more than that in lost wages and treatments.

As long as you start to make a claim within 3 years your covered, personally i would hang it out to see if it gets any better before taking the money, my injuries have got worse over time rather than better i now have pains down my left side and sometimes drop things i'm carrying in my left hand if i'm tired or stressed.

I was in a RAC Isuzu trooper van and a Renault 21 hit me as i was stationary at a roundabout at 50 mph, it bent the tow bar on my van push me across into the middle of the roundabout and pushed his engine into the bulkhead and locked his engine so the car couldn't be moved.

At the time i was asked if i wanted to claim but after a few weeks in a collar, it seemed to be ok and i never bothered as i didn't agree with the principle ............... i have since changed my mind but can do nothing about it.

Not trying to scare monger anyone that's just how it is
