My first car was a blue 2 door mk2 escort 1.1 with laser wheels and an rs spoiler lowered at the rear and fishnet recaros.

 

Cost £350 with full t&t and £400 to insure in 2001....

my 1st car was a olympic blue mk1 escort,19 years ago it had 1660x flow 1300 gearbox and 1100 back axle with chrome rostyles,it went like stink up to 80 mph but did'nt go much over but i loved it
