SAF_Capri Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Do resevoir pots honestly have to be above the master cylinder, as im finding impossable to locate them at back of the engine bay, and was thinking/knowing the only place they can go is against the inner wing!
emu Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 They need to be at a higher lever than the master cylinder so that fluid can drain down into the master cylinder. I cant see why they would need to be directly above the cylinder itself though.
SAF_Capri Posted March 2, 2009 Author Report Posted March 2, 2009 ...Surely because its a closed system and works on pressure, gravity feed isnt needed?
Supercharged Nat Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 i think normal non abs braking systems are closed systems after the master cylinder. the fluid resevours are gravity feed but as its already been said so long as they are above the cylinders and have an easy transition to the cylinder it should be ok- i think you can buy fluid resevour brackets etc from rally design, that are design to relocate the fluids. (normally onto the tops of the inner wing or bulkhead).
