Ben Valley Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 HI all OSF people - ive been reading the forum for a while and after a 7 or 8 year break from oSF's Im finally enjoying a cortina again In the 90s i went through a few mk 4 and 5 cortinas, a 1600xl mk 1 capri (beauty), a 62 consul capri with a 3 litre essex (beast ), a 70 mk2 cortina wagon with a pinto, a mk2 escort 1600 ghia and then it went all subaru impreza... BUT finally after years of waiting, I picked up a white mk 4 cortina with 2.8 v6, 5 speed and a lot more built by Pat Hobbs in devon. Im a very happy man! To celebrate ive also got a mk 5 2 litre estate and over the summer I'll be putting a 2.8 into that as well, using the mk 4 conversion as a template. After all the engine swapped cars ive owned and loved, its about time I built my own! Sorry for massively long intro post but I guess this is where you lay down your history and interests etc ? Im in hampshire and ill be out and about in the mk4 at various shows etc so if you see me, come say hello... Cheers, Ben

Ben Valley Posted April 1, 2009 Author Report Posted April 1, 2009 This is my daily driver: 2.8 v6, 5 speed - soon to be lower.... This mk5 2.0 gl was bought with knackered pinto. Now replaced with a running pinto - will be receiving a 2.8 v6 over the summer too...
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 welcome to osf site and cool cars
