stevepeanut Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 got an email from adrian flux with my renewal price, bloody £350! (it was £250 last year), and a little note on the bottom, saying "do nothing and it will automatically re-new" so I rang em, explained my car was on a standard policy, could I move to a modified policy and declare the following ashley pipe K&N filter RS wheels Gartrac front skirt Burton rocker cover £370 the man says heritage and footman james quoted £227 and £228 rang back adrian flux, and all of a sudden they cut my price from £370 to £216 thing is, if I was busy, forgotten about the email, nothing came in the post and they would have just took the money! cheeky buggers!
Twinkle Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 had the same thing myself! companies give you a good price the first year then they seem to hope you dont bother looking around when its renewal time as they think you will assume they were cheapest when you first took the policy out!!
flyingbanana Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 i had the same thing last year...when i rang them up to make sure they didnt take it without my consent............the renewal went down £100......i hadnt changed anything......i thought when they send out the renewal notices....it should be the cheapest they can do it .....obv not
