does anyone have any pics of a 4 door escort with the rear handles removed and filled?

Im debating whether to do it or not as im in process of prepping the body before paint

ive not got any pic's, but aphotoshop on your car would be easy as pie :thumbsup: (form a nice side on pic anyway)

 

send me a pic and ill try do something (but ive not got any internet, using a random wi-fi at the mo- which keeps cutting out, so i may take a while to get back to you :thumbsup: )

dont you need them for the mot mate ur some way of opening the door from the out side :?

 

i dont know just thought id ask has a mate removed his front door handle and had a remote kit and it failed the mot hashe had no back up to open the door in a hurry form the out side,

 

id check mot rule's first if i was you :thumbsup:

Mine was already done when i got it but i liked it and if i were ever to paint a 4 door mk1 id do it again :mrgreen:

It looks like a 4door without rear handles to me,nothing more nothing less,if people want to think otherwise let them get on with it mate its your car :thumbsup:

Did you have any issues with the mot as lee suggested??? im not 100% sure if thats true other wise the mazda RX8 wouldnt get through the mot (doesnt have rear handles either)

i am in the middle of doing this with mine mainly cos i want mex stripes on it but i do like the look alot. also dont like the fact the door handles are high at the back so problem solved get rid of them lol. been all thru the mot thing its not a problem as long as the rear doors lock shut and there are front handles its not a problem :thumbsup:

probably a silly question but is there a reason why I cant just fill the "dimple" in the door with filler and just use fibreglass where the handle goes through the door?? I cant weld so trying to think of alternatives :)
