I had a little road trip today to pick up POD my new MK1 Escort Nimbus camper.

Previous owner had him for 15 years had loads spend on bodywork in the mid 90's then got parked in a garage in 2002 still taxed and MOt'd , he tried to move it and damaged the drivers door and wing also ran into something and push the passenger front wing and grill back a little, not moved since until today !!!

Only had a quick look round but needs a sill, brakes freeing off for a MOT probably find more when i look closer but on the whole it's all good.

Took us about 20 mins to get it running and checked all lights etc and all seem to be working still !!!!!

Some pics.

He sent me pics of that years ago when i had my old Nimbus, i set up www.classicvans.co.uk i had it on the front page at the time.

The servers changed hands and i lost some of the info but the main site is still on the web be it not very good.

I do like it in Yellow and it would match my daily van nicely !!!!

I had a look through and the bodywork cost him £2487 in 1997 having had a full respray and looking at it now i think i would get away with just doing local repairs as the paint is still bright.

Anyone interested i have just noticed a camper on Ebay 1/2 finished restoration

I had mine on the ramp today and it's very solid underneath i do need a drivers side sill and maybe front wings (or front part of wing around the headlight) if anyone has some cheapish, as mine seem to have a fair amount of filler in them looks like from a minor mishap.

Does anyone know of a good supplier for sills etc now as i want to get it done for an MOT, had a guy froom the garage accross the road look today and he seems to think it will not need much for a ticket

Ordered sill today local Motor Factor still have some !!!

The Nimbus was Converted in Devon hence most of the plates were local Numbers.

One for sale on Ebay at mo:

I have a load of info on these including original sales brochures, stove, seats and setup instructions.

I have been trying to scan them and put them up for other owners but for some reason my Scanner is playing up, it's a Hp Office 6300 all-in-one it prints and copies and connected to my router, but won't scan, if anyone has any ideas that would be helpful says the scanner is not on my network.
