i thought they were just shims that sat between the pad and piston on those calipers :?

if you look at the caliper you will see 2 small holes on the side one top and one bottom hole (brake pad side).....what you need to do is align the pads and skims then insert one pin in the top hole and through skims and pads until it wont go any further then insert the clip on the other side of the pin(small hole in the pin for this) so it dont come out.....then align bottom holes up and insert the other pin and clip.....if you get a pair of pliers you will be able to pull or push the pads for the holes to allign to make it easier to insert the pins :thumbsup:

you can get away without putting those in.....they tend not to fit correctly anyway.....but if u want to fit them you need to get the pin to go through them at the same time when inserting the pins through the pads ....you should have two springs....one for the top part and one for the bottom :thumbsup:

One pin goes through the spring at the big bend tother through the 2 ends, i can get a pic later if you want? i have severl sets of M16s down the garage and shims/springs i can assemble to show ya?
