just fitting my bosch electronic system (which i believe is originally from a sierra) we have got all of the wires round the right way (i think) but does anyone know if there should be a positive feed from the coil? we're getting a constant positive out of the coil and not switched, is this correct?

i ask because we're getting no spark out of the dizzy at all but a constant 12v going into it.

thanks

Burns and Baz and Jonno have sorted Burns' Capper now, it lives!! Thanks bortaf!! I wasn't involved, but is the wire to the starter motor for vehicles with an auto box?

Got to be honest i never used the wire to the starter mtor and never had a problem ,but i allwayts wondered wether or not it was necessary that is why the wire hadnt been removed from the plug :)

Glad you got sorted mate

I haven't used a wire to the starter either. If you look inside the module you'll see that the wire doesn't actually go onto the circuit board.

Cheers

Not actually sure why the wire is there? on a ballested system it's for the 12V boost but the leccy ign is perm 12V and if you look at the diagram the coil feed comes off before the ballest so would be 12V anyway ?

it not being connected makes sense, sort of, why did they put it there for no reason :?
