  1. There are plenty of maps about on the web for pintos and very easy to upload onto the megajolt Edis fours are becoming harder to find in the scrapyardsat the moment I bought the full set up from triggerwheels with an edis 4 for £189 but i didnt need a trigger wheel You can make your own trigger wheel if youwant to save a few quid Coil packs are easy to come by at the scrappy though
  2. Sorry i cant help with the pinto but i have fitted one to a zetec and found it straightforward but the zetec doesnt need a trigger wheel cos it allready has a crank sensor tps is in my opinion nicer than map it is just a bit neater and doesnt need vac tubes coming from each inlet tract then into a damper chamber then into the megajolt, i converted mine from map to tps If you speak to triggerwheels they will supply everything you need for around about £200
  3. Yes you will probably have to shorten the rod but every brake set up is different so you will need to probably fit it and try it then adjust accordingly While you have the balance bar off the car make sure it is nicely lubed up because it can be a bitch to turn when in situ if not nice and free i know cos mine was a bugger also check on the rally design website for a howto feature on seting it up properly with the correct clearances
  4. If it aint a daily then go with your heart not your head
  5. Speak to graham at gs escorts he is taking some banded steels to the pod at the weekend for sale i think from memor he has 9 inch and 10 inch ones
  6. remove a plug after it cuts out and see wether it is very wet or not could be overfueling and flooding
  7. Possible but try the plugs first dont alter your mixtures
  8. Given the choice Limited slip diff all day long for me
  9. Did it cough before at all you could have done a plug in try swapping the plugs around and see if the problem moves
  10. May be worth draining that carb incase there is some water in it and try swapping the plugs around to rule them out as well
  11. If you use the link above to rally design it is the one at the top of the page and i have never fitted it so is as good as new
  12. Should do mate i have one i have not used you can have it for £15 posted
  13. The brackets on the first pic look like mark 1 brackets to me I just removed my super oscars cos i like the clean look
  14. Got to be honest i never used the wire to the starter mtor and never had a problem ,but i allwayts wondered wether or not it was necessary that is why the wire hadnt been removed from the plug Glad you got sorted mate
  15. Thats the wiring diagram i worked from hope you get sorted mate i only took the dizzy out about 2 weeks ago and then i had to refit it for a while due to my new dizzy being a bit suspect
  16. Gave the diff a good degrease lastnight and then rtv sealed around the nut and took her out tonight not seen a leak yet
  17. I use boot polish
  18. You need to take some measurements to cross reference but poly bushees are the way forward
  19. Yeah it is leaking fromthe middle of the flange not the outside Mastic it is then
  20. Just refitted my standard diff back in due to a lot of noise from my slipper and now its bloody leaking from the flange end any suggestionsbefore i burn the garage down with the car in it
  21. Possibly got a different stroke (what you talkin about willis)and capacity can be increased by fitting a stroker crank which will not need the bores to be machined out as much should rev quite high i would of thought without doing the maths
  22. Had mine looked at today by graham at gs and he says there doesnt seem to be any major problems spins freely and no movement in anything so back in it goes Could be just the way the diff is set up as they can be set up soft or hard for rally use and they will react differently
  23. Just took mine out due to it making some strange noises as if there was something loose and banging about under the car only does it when going very slow but does seem to be getting worse Car drove well enough and didnt seem to have any whining issues but it is doing my head in diff even locked the wheels together and they turned i the same direction easily when up on axle stands Diff feels nice and free now i have removed it Any ideas or help appreciated as i need the car for the lakes tour
  24. J.P.S is the initials for ............................ John Player Special
  25. Diamond white comes in a commercial colour as well so you may have that if you look at a transit you will find it is a lot creamier than the car version
