Music sampler software???

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a programe that you can safely download that will let you select a sample of a song to save as a new file

 

for example the chorus of a song for a ringtone etc...

i use audacity for chopping bits of songs up to use as ringtones etc.

Motorola phone tools software comes with an editing suite. You can pick songs from your mp3 library or take the samples from your CDs

 

I'm sure you could download it fron the Motorola site

I've used Audacity when I had a PC and it's good for what you need.

 

The Beta version means its the development version, and may have bugs. The 1.2.6 version is the 'release' version which means its stable and should work as advertised.

 

Bust as it's running on a PC it still may fall over without warning.

Can you not just save it as an MP3 instead? Failing that, press F1 and read the help

Yoou should be able to 'export' the file in the format you want Col

it gives me the option to export selection as an MP3 but then it tells me I dont have lame_enc.dll
