the rates that are paid out to people made redundant are disgusting. Genuine people that have worked hard all their lives and paid tax all through their lives. My dads been in the same engineering place for 35 years, looks like he'll be made redundant when/if it closes, he's never claimed a penny in his life, and what they offer is a piss take.

what you dont do tony is tell them that its 3k or say that you are getting a smaller amount , make sure that when you put your claim in that you have taken absolutley everything into account and dont lie about outgoings like direct debits because as wrong as it may sound they can tell you how much your paying out to the penny mate

i will try and get the number of a nice lady that i know who works in the claims department that i used to deal with quite alot when i was a recruitment manager cos as creul as it sounds i hated people claiming and earning at the same time and she used to get all the info from me ... but on the other hand she will give you all the help in the world if you are a genuine person with family ,home etc she just doesnt like junkies n benifet louts which i am sure you are not , also whilst claiming say nothing of you spraying etc or buying selling bikes/cars as a hobby cos they will also take that in to an account of earnings .

i will pm you tomoz with hazels number mate although she isnt local she will help trust me its not what ya know its who ya know and shes very handy

There are two parts to Jobseekers Allowance one based on what contributions you have paid in the last 2 tax years and one based on what your personal circumstances are i.e whether you have a partner, savings, income etc, etc.

they do take what money you will get in to account they dont count what bills you need to pay with it.

have been on income support for nearly a year but was on it before in the past the money you get each week is crap plus takes them ages to short it out it took them 2 months last time to do it.

tony dont forget to claim your housing benefit as in some cases they pay the full amount our rent is £650 a month but we pay £132 top up rest is payed through housing benefit also you need to sort out your council tax as,again, in some cases you wont have to pay, but if you do it will be low,
