Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 are they as good as long wheel nuts and a spacer plate or are these crap anyone your oppinions please http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Capri-Escort ... m153.l1262
Stu_B Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 People used to use those way back when I was in to minis, they were generally frowned upon.
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 i had them on a mini too and was under the same impression though mine caused me no problems just wondered if they are safe
Stu_B Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 What about these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/24mm-Hubcentric-S ... 7C294%3A30
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 but the wheel stud extensions go on first then the spacer fits tightly to them and you still have plenty of thread to bolt your wheel on surley they cant snap but as stu_B says they were generally frowned upon why ?????
5hane Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 ill have a look for some shattered spacers for you then the ones stu posted look much better
richie_stix Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 rally design do em, good ones and value for money too! VW owners use them all the time, and hub adapters to fit all sorts of the wrong wheel to the wrong car! they feckin love it!
X FLOW EDDY Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 My dad still calls those wheel spacers " wheel bearing breakers " They were all the rage on minis and the like years ago and when he was in the trade in the 70's and 80's he had to change loads of bearings because the spacers over loaded them. Steer well clear mate
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 ok thanks guys what about the ones stu_B posted are they good ????????
