bomber1 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 I also struggle on the roads, I have a merc sprinter, but its been restricted to 59 mph and its a nightmare, it used to do 75 mph, but someone in head office thinks it'll be green and save fuel if they cut the top speed. Its just got enough power to get past a HGV, so it takes a lot of concentration to drive now now that is bolloux 65 should be fine in a sprinter

bmxdave Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 I think the main difference is that lorry drivers are proffesional drivers and therefore should take far far more care. I agree 95% of road users shouldnt be allowed out of their house never mind in a car. But theres no excuse for tailgating in a wagon, its completely unacceptable. Equally so, its unacceptable to tailgate a wagon as the driver might not see you behind, and a good set of brakes on an unladen wagon can outbrake a car. I think the general public dont realise that. Weve had several accidents where buses have outbraked cars because people are idiots.
