Smudger105e Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Yup, year I left school. We had our GCE's that summer, and my school let us take our blazers AND ties off! Major decision for them! Spent most of my time trying to get into Angela Morgans knickers if I remember correctly...
Daggle Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I was 2, so nope can't remember a thing, must have been pretty warm though
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 3, 2009 Admin Report Posted June 3, 2009 Yes, I remember the summer of 1976 - I was 9. I remember the ground (dirt) was so dry that it cracked and looked like the desert and the tarmac on the roads was bubbling up and we were popping the tar bubbles - I have never seen that since.
Admin Vista Posted June 3, 2009 Admin Report Posted June 3, 2009 I remember it too, baking hot. We haven't had one like it since.
FredTransit Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I remeber it well. Our family chose the only week it rained to go on holiday in a caravan! . I didn't even take proper shoes, and remeber me soaking flares slapping round me legs and going through puddles in filp flops! Got home to find everybody telling tales of how hot it was whilst they did passable impersonations of lobsters.....
