fostersice Posted June 7, 2009 Author Report Posted June 7, 2009 i didnt have them fitted at the time as i dont have any seats so didnt know where to fit the bars then the paint said they are a real pain in a road car as you trip on them they get marked up has you always kicking them then like someine else has said,single skinned door not to save any pictures of door bars ? the guy charges £30 per bar

They are a pain in the arse to get over when getting in and out the car and youll most likely crack your head on the roof bar trying to get over the door bar....very impractical IMO! Imagine going down to tersco, opening your door in those tiny spaces and trying to get out over the door bars whilst keeping your head in tact and not smashing the door on the car next to you... On a competeition car....why not!? they improve the strength and safety aspects of the car and you wont be going to tesco in it

Trevmk3 Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 depends on what look you want for it, and ultimately whether you want to climb over them everytime you get in or out of your car. i dont mind them with or without (used to work on Rally cars so you get used to it ) plus on the thing of them getting scuffed up, you could always get some clear protective film or something to prevent the paint getting scuffed up

My nova i couldnt use that on the road cos i have to get in head 1st and im not very tall , same with my dad in his beemer couldnt use that on the road every day either. But we both have wrap around seats in them. I would like to see some one try and nick them But in the mk1 peice of cake
