john_3.0s Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 been selling some bits and pieces on ebay (escort stuff) two of the 3 auctions went to non-UK bidders one in portugal and one in russia (despite the UK only statement i made) and they both want to send a courrier to my house to collect. Is this a scam to try and get my address? one of the bidders has paid up but i guess its a cheap way of getting an address to turn over or am i being suspicious??
mk3cokebottle Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 have you got a local shop ?? or post office ?, if i was you i would either send have a chat with my locaol shop or post office to see if they would be ok to have it picked up from there or have it picked up from my place of work just so i was better safe then sorry
FredTransit Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Good plan Mr Cokebottle, John you could always say you are very busy and can't stay in to wait for a courier....
john_3.0s Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 i have emailed them back and said i will find out how much for me to send to them. didnt think about using my work address, good idea
mk1estate Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Hi John, I have sold a few items to russia before and the bloke turned out to be a ok, but i cant see how they are going to send a courier to collect from you though, my advise is to be carefull. The pick up from your works is a good idea though. Thanks for your help the other day and anytime you need a hand just call
