BudgieV8 Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 Hi all. Been a member since the early days, but never got around to posting in this section! So, for starters, here we go......... Spent lots of my time (& cash ) on Capri's over the years. Current car is a 1970 Mk1 with a Rover SD1V8 fitted. Looking for a new engine as this ones past its best, but still puts a smile on my face! Sold this to buy the V8. (1971 Mk1 3000GT) ...& If you were at CCI Summer Camp in the early '90's, you may remember 'Wild n Willin' which I built around 1991 when I was in Cumbria Capri Club based in Carlisle. (Sadly 'Wild n Willin' was wrecked by the new owner & is now no more....) My 'daily' at the moment is this Mk1 Granada 3.3V6 pickup ... & I have BIG regrets selling this Cortina 2000GXL to fund the Capri's So, Hello to all, see you soon! Cheers Paul

BudgieV8 Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Posted June 25, 2009 Once I've got the RV8 sorted in the Capri I plan to strip & re-build/re-spray the Pickup. Many many thanks for selling it back to me M8!
bortaf Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 2 door GXL Uber rare but they all have to go sometime i guess
Potter Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Love the red Mk1! Slotmags really suit it. And that Granada looks awesome.Did you do the conversion?
BudgieV8 Posted June 28, 2009 Author Report Posted June 28, 2009 Red Mk1 Slotmags were off a Mustang & fitted just right. Granny pickup (actually a Consul according to the V5) was converted in the early '90's. The wife of the guy who did it sent me a cd of the build pics years ago so I could see what was done - all VERY professionally done!
