Daggle Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Had a quick flick throught it, don't know if it says it in there but its now a £60 fine, not a £30 fine as before..... Oh and if you didn't know, not wearing your seatbelt will now cost you 60 quid as well. Anyone would think this goverment is broke and needs to get some more money off the tax payers

JAY PS Posted July 11, 2009 Author Report Posted July 11, 2009 Read it only applies to post 1/1/73 cars all car prior to that can have black/silver or black and white or white and yellow ! Taking my vans plates off tommorow ,this means anpr cameras can do you and theres loads round here !
over_head_cam Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 As far as I'm aware the rules have always been the same: Tax fee age cars can have black and silver, and all others not. It seems the severity of the 'crime' has been upgraded though
5hane Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 i always trhought they were illegal anyway? (unless tax free)
Trevmk3 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 i will keep my black and silvers on mine, ive always got the yellow and white ones in the boot that i can stick on if pulled by an understanding policeman like Daggle
FredTransit Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 It seems the second offence will mean you will get the plate withdrawn without further notice. The second offence doesn't have to mean the car is stopped, it can be detected by ANPR/CCTV. Have to say that does sound like it's meant to instil paranoia though....

Needs to raise some money somehow
