Admin Vista Posted August 4, 2009 Admin Report Posted August 4, 2009 The estates were custom built by Abbot (E D Abbott Limited) based in Farnham rather than Fareham. Yes they are quite rare. Capriaddict had one he was intending to restore but I think he's sold it on now. Abbott also did the Zodiac and Zephyr conversions

Smudger105e Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 In the early '60s, Farnham also made some Anglia Estates before Ford produced them, looked like the saloon, but had like a hatch back from the rear of the roof to the edge of the bootlid if I remember correctly. Found some pics...
andytechno Posted August 4, 2009 Author Report Posted August 4, 2009 are they still about nowadays?probably cost a bit more than 75 sheets if they are.
Admin Vista Posted August 4, 2009 Admin Report Posted August 4, 2009 Who, Abbott? No, folded in the early 70's when the demand for custom coachbuilders died off. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbott_Coachbuilders
