Retromotorsport Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 That one wrapped around the tree ... thinks thats one of a series that the German cops did to highlight dangers of driving stupidly .. there was another one that showed a car torn to pieces ..shame it lost all its fluids and glass before it crashed in the woods.. but at first glabce looked scary. Like the one round the tree,,, no dedbris around it . Prefectopop, would you have been wearing a seat belt when you crashed ????
105Nick Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Can't believe half the stuff on wrecked exotiics site ... there's a number of late model cars on the motorway just ripped in half, I thought these new cars were supposed to be extra safe, but then they are made to disintegrate in a crash I suppose. funniest thing was my next door neighbour, a proper boy racer with a 206 pug and bodykit, it cost him a fortune but he ragged it to death and the suspension was going. ALways doing wheelspins and ragging around, then one day he came back and it was all smashed up - all the time he'd been blatting about at warp speed and drivig like a loonie ... and he crashed going over a speed hump at 30 mph outside a school on sunday, took his eyes off the road for a second to change a CD and hit a post, ripping off a wheel Have that!

Prefectopop, would you have been wearing a seat belt when you crashed ???? I was wearing a seatbelt; if I hadn't I would be dead. The steering wheel twisted up as the engine and gearbox moved backwards and I stretched the seatbelt by about 5cm as my head hit the centre of the wheel. Wasn't pretty. Unfortunately I didn't have an airbag. That might have prevented some of the injuries, but may have caused some severe burns. The police officers were very interested in knowing if I was on the phone - 1st Dec 2003 being the first day they could enforce the mobile phone laws - asking me whilst in the resusitation room of the hospital, to which I vomitted on his leg. And no I wasn't officer.
Retromotorsport Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 I wasnt too sure... thought it may have been a case of the bulkhead coming back... glad you had the belt on or this would have been a " well that taught you a lesson" which is why i only jumped in with one foot not both
