RE the first post...

That was last year, they were all total sheds and the barn find bit was bollox cos they were "found" in the barn next door to the auctiuon house !

literaly 200 yards away.

It was all hyped and BS'd up TBH, great fun looking round em all but as i said 90% were total sheds on bloke bought 4 motors all old fords, all hiabed onto a truck and run straight in for scrap

One cortina estate i opened the bonnet and the struts popped through the inner wing and it just slumped on the floor, i hurredly walked away :lol::lol:

What a waste. So you manage to get your hands on a bunch of cars, possibly some of them you have secretly wanted to have for ages. Then you put them in a shed, uncovered. Its like having a great garage with all the tools, a perfect escort shell, a kit to fit a 302 in it, and you decide to go water the plants.

It's not like that TBH mate, it's just most farmers are the same, they never throw anything away, it just sits on the farm for years, i knpw of one in Devon has 40 odd cars including 10 2CVs, he's had to get rid of a lot of em cos the council were threatening to get his subsidies stopped if he didn't clear em up.

The farm i store me cars on has old tractors that were his dads (he's 87  so how long have they been there ? ) he still has his first van, a Mk1 transit but it's in the middle of a hedge, another farm in essex i know has an E type jag and 2 cortinas in a blackburry bush, litteraly in the bush, it's been growing through the E type for 20 years since his brother gave up on the rebuild and hired the shed out it was storred in

You have to remember when these cars were stuck away they were worth less than bugger all and half of feckall it's just when you have a place to store crap you do, i bet your shed is full of stuff you'll never use and the bigger it is the more crap you keep (well i do) :)

I'm off to Kent tomorrow to a mates farm he just bought to play with his JCB, he's found cars burried all over the place  first thing he had to do when he bought the place was clear the tons of scrap laying about the place including roofs of cars (all that was left of the whole shell).
