Tom Posted October 14, 2009 Author Report Posted October 14, 2009 Herb - I'm not scared of a bit of work mate. my mig is my best friend if it doesnt fit it'll get cut and shut 'til it does Jo - Ta, the top of that pic is really blurry but i cant find a side shot of my car (and cant be arsed to do one) As i type the votes are one ahead for yes. but i voted too fook it i've just ordered the rim tape and booked the collection
Tom Posted October 14, 2009 Author Report Posted October 14, 2009 Bugger - i've just been out having a play with the suspension to lower it a bit more a the front and even it up as floor to arch measurements through the centre of the wheel line are N/S/F - 525mm O/S/F - 510mm N/S/R - 525mm O/S/R - 505mm I've lowered the n/s/f 15mm and raised the o/s/f 5mm (to counteract my weight when in car) What i couldn't work out is why there is such a big difference at the back. I managed to get the n/s/r 5mm ish lower by raising the o/s/f, then it dawned on me. I measured the distance from the arch lip to the window and the n/s/r is 12mm less than the o/s making it look higher - meaning that the repair arch i hadnt fitted years ago is fitted higher on the body than original - bugger I'm surprised its taken me so long to notice - some head scratching to do now
over_head_cam Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 12mm that's not ideal. At least you know now. I've heard the saying 'you can't look at both sides at once...' I think it fits here ;)
Tom Posted October 14, 2009 Author Report Posted October 14, 2009 I've not heard that before. The thing is now, if i adjust the suspension to get even arch to floor height, the car's gonna sit pissed and prob upset the handling Double bugger
over_head_cam Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 You're going to have to set the a2f (new code ) offset, and just park it good side out
Tom Posted October 14, 2009 Author Report Posted October 14, 2009 arse 2 face?? but my car's always in the middle phil - no-one puts my baby in the corner Did you vote?
