where to buy sound deadening?

i need to cover the floor in sound deadening, and was wondering wheres the cheapest place to buy enough to do most of the floor, as it seems on ebay you pay a lot to get a small amount of the stuff. just wondered if somewhere like B&Q do something that does the same job in a big roll like some mastic sheet with foil on it.

I got mine from B&Q, around 15 quid and it gives you more than enough to do the whole car... i believe its the same as dynamat

i think its in the roofing section, for flashing or something. its a lead based buetyl with foil backing

This stuff is not cheap but it's the dogs dangly bits and used by many audio experts and classic car owners alike

i got the idea from an I.C.E forum and a lot of people including ICE fitters used it. i think its all made from the same stuff its the density that differs and when you way up the cost its worth a punt... and I can honestly say from experience it works its all I had other than carpet in my mk1 as the original ford sound proofing was long gone. I shall be using it in my mk2 with the ford sound proofing to make it super quiet... ish
