lmao  come on than fella... fill us in, what are you making the guitar from?

wood?

actually my plan is to buy a cheap Squier Stratocaster and create a replica of the Tom Delonge Fender Strat. Should be able to do it for less than £100.

£100 seems a lot but then my mate can spend that in a night on the piss  I just buy shit off ebay :ykt:

Brian Mays guitar was made from an old Sideboard or Table... forgot which but his dad fashioned it from some mahogany  dont think a shoe box will have the same resonance

main difference is the pickups. Normal strat has 3 separate single coil pickups. Blink 182 man, has them all removed and only 1 humbucker. So its a case of painting it up, removing the 3 pickups, blanking off the holes and fitting a humbucker, oh and changing the 3 control knobs. Theres probably a few other personal mods on the guitar too.

as steve said....

The Tom Delong strat has just one seymour duncan humbucker in the bridge, a hard tail bridge (no tremolo) and only one volume control. very simple really.most strats have all this single coil gubbings attached which Im not a fan of.

I can build a squier tome delonge replica for about £117 including buying a brand new squier strat to butcher (without painting it cos thats too much effort)..seems better than paying £200-300 for a used squier tom delonge or £400+ for a fender one.

Yes its Hayley Williams
