stevepeanut Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 get another 4x4, that what I fancy when I sell my mazda, be a right laugh if a few of us have them
MM77 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Just remember though if you get something turbo'd it will soon become another project - I can guarantee you. Japanese turbo cars are so easy to mod, so first you'd want an exhaust. Then you'd get the intake done, then turbo, then ECU, and it never ends. If it were me, i'd get any VW and slam it over steels - job done. (Actually thats not true, i'd get an E36 BMW)
Sir-Cato Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 What about a late E36 BM 328i. I know its not a turbo.........but........ .........A saloon or tourer should be cheaper to insure then a coupe and they put out 197 bhp standard............and fly 193bhp and good luck finding a cheap straight 328. Oh and watch out for cars that did not have the nikasil issue fixed, alot of money to fix. 220-230bhp is possible for under a grand also. Go for a saloon for the stiffer shell.
bigglesmk2 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 VW Bora,1.8 turbo. Fast Reliable More family car based so should be cheaper on insurance Not gonna rot around your ears or give you mechanical probs And look pretty good too Why dont ye want a diesel though Antz ? I've had loads of turbo diesel family cars and there great, cheap comfy, fast and reliable
PIG Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 vw passat tdi(red i).awesome on fuel and can be chipped if required.lovely, cheap to insure i would think and they never go wrong m8
antz Posted January 3, 2010 Author Report Posted January 3, 2010 mr2 is a good idea but they are worth feck all and my auntie has one. dont really want to copy her. i dont do diesel. its dirty, smelly, rattly, expensive and you sound like a tractor. someone will try and argue they are great most likely but i just dont like diesel....the way i dont like vws or french cars im still thinking Nissan Stagea.....as long as I can get insured on one
antz Posted January 3, 2010 Author Report Posted January 3, 2010 Your not choosy are ya mate not at all i asked because if people throw ideas at me, even if i dont like them it gives me an idea of what i dont want which leaves me with what i do want

stevepeanut Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 stagea looks a beast but I would check to see what spares availability is like. Is it a uk model or import? I have never even seen one of those on the road
antz Posted January 3, 2010 Author Report Posted January 3, 2010 stagea looks a beast but I would check to see what spares availability is like. Is it a uk model or import? I have never even seen one of those on the road all imports. they are the same floorpan as a R33 skyline, using the same engine and the 4wd system from the R34. Modification and replacement parts are dead easy to find as its all R33 skyline bits but standard service parts are again just skyline parts so can be directly supplied from Nissan. Many companies do offer modification parts for the stagea such as coilovers etc it is basically a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T estate
