Daveyboy20 Posted January 8, 2007 Author Report Posted January 8, 2007 Cheers guys Ive got a new sunroof panel which im gonna fit as soon as the weather gets better as the one on it is holed. Its the only exterior panel with rust on which is odd! It needs a new plate in the boot around the filler pipe and got that ready to go on too. I want to tidy the paint up a bit and put a performance exhaust on it to match the induction noise of the 32/36 dgav and KandN which i already have on it. Also new bumpers at some point and im gonna try and get some black and silver plates, but that could be a problem! Generally just tidy it a bit and add a few subtle mods for now oh i quite like the idea of clear indicators up front, ive seen a few on ebay but gonna wait till i have abit of cash. Id love to stick my 2.1 pinto in it and lower it on a set of 13x8 deep dish minilights but that would just be daft...
Daveyboy20 Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 Well, she failed the MOT the other week and ive been busy trying to sort it out! Failed on loads of bushes and balljoints and tyres and emmisions and lights amonst other things! Anyway, pretty much finished it now MOT on thursday so wish me luck! Heres some pics of the work and what she looks like now! My workin space! Before work got underway at the rear The first void bush i got out before i got a void bush tool - what a pain in the arse!! Front end lookin colourful and poly'd! Back end sorted Got new discs, pads and itting kit (pins lips and shims) and painted up my calipers Lowered the numberplate and fitted a bit of trimoff an old bumper in its place, what do you think? Spent some time cleaning under the bonnet today Made this coil cover form a can of 'Dark dog' the french redbull equivalent that me and mates where drinkin in france New steering wheel! Wish me luck for Thursday guys, and thanks to everyone that gave me advice!
Bristol Red Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Lookin good mate God I got some memories of changin voids... especially for the first time After a couple of times and with the right gear it's a piece of cake. Managed to change all 8 in under two hours in the rain on me driveway.. Just needs a couple of inches off that ride height to get rid of those big gaps in yer wheel arches
Daveyboy20 Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 Yeah i know it was a right pain, hopefully not gonna have to do it again for a while!!! I really wanna get a -2 drop on the go when funds allow!
