johnny_h Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I believe (i could be totally wrong) it's cut out to raise up the exhaust etc for extra ground clearance. Rally orange is in action in my escort vid too
minim4rt Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 sounds resonable i was thinking for air flow but on a rally car going sideways didnt think that figured then it not all twists and turns
tim Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 if it isnt there then it cant b ripped off by stray stones, logs etc
groomers Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 the rear panel is cut to help stop it being ripped off doesnt always work though!
RallyOrange Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 You guys are right, less air restriction, acting like a parachute and less chance of being damaged from rocks and dirt, also allowing the exhaust to mount higher. Thanks for all your kind words and comments folks I do have a web site with some video clips on, also a forum, so if you want to look at more in action pics, vids, and build pics, please take a look Also notice the O.S.F sticker in the lower back window!!! Thanks again,
Mr Sam Posted January 2, 2007 Author Report Posted January 2, 2007 Also notice the O.S.F sticker in the lower back window!!! reconised the car straight away that confirmed the fact its you top work for OSF advertisment on the rally scene and such a lovely car
RallyOrange Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 reconised the car straight away that confirmed the fact its you top work for OSF advertisment on the rally scene and such a lovely car Thanks yet again, it's really nice to hear feed back, I carry in-car camera on every rally, and get the out-car vids too. Well you never know? dread the thought! Currently making a compilation of all events dating back to 1992, but may narrow that down to just one or two events, with a little in and out car clips, too much may just be boring to most. As there's 2 full D.V.D's up to yet, and that's not using all the in-car stuff.
