Trevmk3 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 hes a lucky person he would of been safer staying in the truck
Fiesta Steve Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 We have a forklift driver at work just like that, he has not got a driving license but has recently somehow got a forklift license, he has hit the racking the same as in that video twice !! luckily it has not collapsed (yet). He's a useless prick !!
Trevmk3 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 the forklift test is really easy, cant remember how many minor marks you are allowed but when i did mine they said after that i only recieved 1 but they had to give 3 to make it look right ive never hit the racking at work but some drivers are proper flat out and bump into everything and drop stuff all the time
m1c Posted February 20, 2010 Author Report Posted February 20, 2010 hes a lucky person he would of been safer staying in the truck funnily enough yes he shouldve been wearing a seatbelt
2litreScapri Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Think that guy needs to watch this video.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkMDGC2d ... re=related
m1c Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 ive seen that a few times theres another cartoon/walllace and gromet style training video but i cant find it which is a shame cos its even better
914Driver Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Am I the only one to question why the whole row came down? You would think that one or two cells of storage would fall, but to domino all of them makes me wonder about design or installation issues. We have them all over at work with no problems and believe me, they've been run into. Dan
m1c Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 yea it looks dodgy, notice how the racking starts to collaspe from the wrong way (right to left)
r-0-b Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 i like how the guy was smart enought to leg it, i would have been stupid and just shat there going ''opps, this is going to go badly''
m1c Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 i like how the guy was smart enought to leg it, i would have been stupid and just shat there going ''opps, this is going to go badly'' but if you had a seatbelt on (which he shouldve) theres no way you'd have the reaction time to jump up and run off like that
r-0-b Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 just another example of not wearing a seat belt saving your life.
914Driver Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 i like how the guy was smart enought to leg it, i would have been stupid and just shat there going ''opps, this is going to go badly'' but if you had a seatbelt on (which he shouldve) theres no way you'd have the reaction time to jump up and run off like that I dunno, I drove one out of the building, didn't get off to push the button for the door to go down so I drove until the rearend cleared the corner of the building, cranked the wheel and hammered it. When it got up on two wheels I was trying to bail, had the belt off but was going to knock myself out on the roll cage. Luckily it teetered and then dropped back on all fours. Holy crap what a racket! With no suspension it loosened my fillings. I'm smarter ....
