workshop space

does anyone know of any workshop/garage space availible to rent in the south east area...around Croydon, bromley, orpington and as far out as Swanley.

 

looking for a space that can have four cars in with ample space to work around them all....not looking to operate business from it as we both work full time and is just to store/work on our cars.

 

me and a friend have been looking and found a space around 220sqft (floor space) but the chap wanted £400+rates a month in swanley...which sounded a bit dear to us..or is that the going rate? bit confusing as the rents vary so much...

 

Any information or leads would be apreciated

Sarah and friends place costs £600 a month for 6 cars plus small amount of space to work on em and thats well out of the london area.

the ones we,ve looked at are all well outside london, one in the middle of no where.....literally!! will consider anywhere within an hours drive of croydon but any further and the logistics dont add up

wow wot a diffrence in price down sarrfff is, i got a workshop up tnorth that i can get 8 cars in for £100 a month no bills , me and 2 mates have just accepted another workshop as my 100 quid one has been broken into recently and the new one is £300 a month all in and can get 20 cars in it

My old workshop i could get about 10 cars in and it cost me £650 plus electric, he put it upto a grand a month + vat ............. so i left !!!

 

 

I now have a place not as nice / good but it's 1/3 of the price i can get a bout 7 cars in.

 

The one you have been offered sounds a good price to me, the other problem is not many people want you to work on cars in these units.

Currently rent a lockup only and thats £50 per month in Croydon so I think you need to either be looking further out or more sharers.

Try over Knockholt way The used to be an old farm up Rushmore Hill that used to rent out barn space quiet cheaply but that was 10 or so years ago

£100 Month/6 cars here, and if I went any further south I'd get my feet wet.

 

Mine has electric included in the price and a pit !!

my mates pay £500 a month for one in chessington and you can just work arond 3 cars
