D-FENS Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Any one tell me how i can find out what version of internet explorer i have on my pc .Most times when i go online i get a message saying internet explorer version 8 is available to download,when i went to microsoft explorer homepage it says my pc is set to default page explorer version 8 ? .Version 9 is also out so what version would be best to download .I am running windows xp on my pc .Are Google Chrome or Firefox worth having as an alternative,what do you reckon .

I got windows XP and i use Safari... never had a problem at all! i dont use IE anymore sorry

rob-loves-osf Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 im using XP Pro but the OS (operating system so long as it is windows as i (cant speak for linux or mac) Ive always used mozila firefox 3.6 and downloaded the add on - foxy proxy-less chance of hackers and IE reports back to microsoft servers based in california. and always displays your I.P address and what you've looked up at there end. better privacy and alot quicker wouldnt use anything else (me personally) hope this helps Rob
