I now need to know,

~ is there a difference with 1100, 1300 and 1600 4 branch manifolds?

~ will a 1600 box fit a 1100 engine and what clutch do i need?

my 3rd gear sounds like its eating itself from the inside so i'll need to replace the box but, will said box bolt upto a 1600 when i get one or am i gonna end up needing another box aswell?

Im starting to lose my rag with this car, people tell me that everything is interchangable and others tell me to be careful because some stuff doessn't just bolt up

all help apprieciated guys, help me boost my spirits

dont think so with the manifolds, 1300 and 1600 might be the same the the 1100 is a shorter block

gear box's from what i undertand are pretty interchangeable the 1600 may have higher ratios compaired to the 1100

im a fiesta guy though so dont take my word for it ;)

the manifold are interchange able but a 1600 item will be an inch taller to match a 1600 block so it will hang low on 1100/1300 engines

the same gearbox was on all xflow mk1/2 part from mk1 mexs

So a 1100/1300 one will be an inch too short for a 1600

Standard & GT/sport boxes are all the same with regard to bellhousing, clutch plates & prop.

You, my friend, are a scholar and a gent. Im picking a 'box up 2moro so i will throw that in with a new clutch and bearing, and i've got my eyes on a 1600 on Ebay and a 4 branch and 2' exhaust so hopefully i will be running smooth within' a couple of weeks. Then its just a shed load of bodywork before the shows start.
