emu Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I like the colour though Perhaps you could get some nice tassles for the end of the handlebars
Smudger105e Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 When I was a lad, the real men had either a Honda SS50 or a Yamaha FS1-E. The poorer ones had a Puch Maxi. I had a pushbike
tazrocks88 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 nout like a good old fashion push bike
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Go on the 'Fizzy' Puch Maxi Incidentally, I would love one of those, but they are getting to be worth alot of money now! (A Fizzy that is!)
Smudger105e Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 It was an orange Dawes Celeste, a racing bike (no mountain bikes back then!). It had white front forks, because the originals were not brazed properly, snapped off and I slid up the road on my face!! Ever tried to drink frothy chocolate with a fat lip? Impossible!!
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I love the old sports mopeds & scooters in general. Hope the guv'nor (Posse) wont mind, but I have a link here to an online forum which I have set up for such bikes. Still a bit of work to do mind, oh and I need to advertise it as well. (Just me and a mate as members LOL) http://www.funkymopeds.co.uk

Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 That's a late one mate. You want mid to late 70's because they have proper pedal power to get them running
emu Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Theres a pedal power one on there too. I slung the link up for that one quick cos I saw "<5mi" in the list. Thought to myself....thats not much and it finishes in a moment, ill let jim know!......dead helpful see . Then I read it proper and its got 5 odd days to go. "<5mi" was cos its round the corner not less than 5 minutes
emu Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Just had a look at your site. How long before someone asks.......... "Is my peugeot speedfight funky???"
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 LOL, I thought that too. It's a bit like that old Sierra chestnut on here
Slik 50 Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 There is nowt wrong with an old skool ped! but the lad I work with has one of these Its a 1950's Trojan mini-motor, He has fully restored it to like brand new! It bolts (as you can see) to the back of any push bike. He has his fitted to a modern mountain bike! All you do is peddle along pull the lever and it clamps the drive wheel on the engine to the rear wheel, Bump starts the engine, Then you adjust your throttle and air mixture and off you go
Fiesta Steve Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I had a Honda Vision, that was one wicked bike, I passed my cbt on a fizze. I've now upgraded to a FireBlade KJ, wanna race ?
