I hope I am wrong but I bought a pair of strut inserts for sons Escort without nuts. Ended up going to a pal who runs a small engineering shop and he told me they were unusual in that they were AMERICAN EXTRA FINE thread and almost impossible to find. He ended up making some for me. Paul

i got some just from the local auto supply shop. high tensile ones. nothing fancy/unusual about them

just take the shock in and find what fits if you dont know the thread

Type in ' stagonset ' in to google and click on the link. They do superb Stainless nuts and bolts and they deliver pronto. For the strut tops, I think some are metric some are imperial, so count the number of threads per inch (tpi) and measure the nut you have across the flats. Stagonset have the dimensions so that you can identify the thread by matching up your dimensions.

You want to go for the flat nut which is half depth. If you've narrowed it down to a metric thread and an imperial just buy 2 of each, it is easier.
